History
This is a wreck located at a depth of 13 meters north of Suvla Bay. During the Gallipoli Campaign, on October 30, 1915, it was damaged after colliding with a tugboat, drifted, and settled on the sand, becoming unusable as it broke apart during salvage operations. Salvage efforts were only conducted at night, and to prevent the ship from being recognized as unusable, it was painted to blend in with the surrounding rocky structure. This led to the belief that the Turkish side would not be able to target this destroyer. The ship, which is 82 meters long, has 45 meters of its length above the sand, while the remaining part is beneath it. The four Yarrov-type boilers that remain above the sand are in good condition and are significant for divers due to the variety of fish and marine life inside, making it an important spot for photography.

Diving Equipment Information:

The equipment to be used for diving includes the gear used in equipped dives and consists of basic equipment such as a mask, fins, weights, buoyancy vest, diving cylinder, wetsuit (3-5 mm depending on the season), regulator, gloves, and a 7 mm neoprene suit during the November-March months, as well as semi-dry or dry suits. Diving can also be conducted with this equipment at the historical underwater park in Gallipoli.
