History
It is a warship of the Swiftsure class belonging to the British Navy. Its construction was completed by Vickers, Barrow on January 15, 1903, and it began its service. Until it was sent to the Mediterranean in March 1909, it served in the channel fleet protecting the southern coasts of England. Additionally, at the outbreak of World War I, it was assigned to the attack on Tsing Tao supported by Japanese ships. In January 1915, it arrived at the straits to participate in the Gallipoli operation. On May 25, 1915, while bombarding Kaba Tepe, it was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-21 in an hour and a half, along with its 73 crew members.
