History

History:

The HMS Triumph was a Swiftsure-class battleship belonging to the British Royal Navy. Completed by Vickers, Barrow on January 15, 1903, it began its service shortly thereafter. Until March 1909, when it was deployed to the Mediterranean, it served in the Channel Fleet protecting the southern coasts of England. Additionally, at the onset of World War I, it was assigned to the attack against Tsing Tao, supported by Japanese vessels. In January 1915, it arrived off the Dardanelles to take part in the Gallipoli Campaign. On May 25, 1915, while bombarding Kabatepe, it was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-21, going down in an hour and a half along with 73 crew members.

Diving Equipment Information:

The equipment to be used for dives includes standard gear required for fully equipped dives: mask, fins, weights, buoyancy control device, scuba tank, wetsuit (3–5 mm depending on the season), regulator, and gloves. During the November–March season, a 7 mm neoprene suit, semi-dry suit, or dry suit is required. Diving with this equipment is possible at the Gallipoli Historical Underwater Park.
